New Housing Development Opens Show Suite on Kamloops’ North Shore

Kamloops, B.C.: Thompson Landing on Royal, Kamloops’ newest premier waterfront development set on the shores of the Thompson River, has opened the doors of its Show Suite, welcoming the community to learn about the 64-unit condo development, now under construction.

“We are pleased to offer people such a unique, waterfront living opportunity in Kamloops,” said Joshua Knaak, Partner with ARPA Investments (ARPA), the company behind Thompson Landing on Royal. “We are developing two condo buildings on the piece of property at 209 Royal Avenue, allowing individuals and families to truly live on the waterfront and enjoy all that comes with that lifestyle.”


Back at the start of the project, the team at ARPA did extensive community engagement prior to moving forward with the development and received unanimous City Council support for rezoning. With that support, approval of the development permit, and with disclosure statements in hand, the development is now selling.


“We started pre-sales in early November and have already sold 17 units which represents 27% of the units of our project,” stated Knaak. “We know it was a calculated risk to launch our sales when interest rates were starting to increase but the confidence from purchasers has certainly been strong.”

Understanding the challenges of the real estate market currently, and specifically of Kamloops, Shaw is also pleased with the level of interest in Thompson Landing on Royal citing the great reputation of the developers as part of the reason for the confidence of buyers.
